Cuneyt Kayaalp, MD (Gastrointestinal Surgery)

Dr. Cuneyt Kayaalp, born in 1965, in Ankara and graduated in Hacettepe Medical School (1982-89). He worked in Ankara Numune Hospital as a general surgery resident between 1989 and 1994. He finished the 2 years gastrointestinal fellowship at Turkey Yuksek Ihtisas Hospital (1995-1997) and worked as staff surgeon in the same hospital by 2005. During this time he experienced on basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery skills. In 2005, he transferred to University Hospital of Inonu and got the degree of professor. He is the chief of Gastrointestinal Surgery Department in Inonu University and goes on the advanced laparoscopic surgery practice and education at the same center. He is a full time university professor as a director of Gastrointestinal Surgery Fellowship programme.

He is the member of Turkish Surgical Society, Society of Surgery Days, Turkish Minimal Invasive Surgery, Turkish HBP Surgery, Turkish Gastrointestinal Surgery. He is a reviewer of Turkish Journal of Surgery, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Frontiers in Surgery. He has more than 200 international and national publications in the journals and 35 of them are related with minimally invasive surgery.
