PhD in Surgical Science and Diagnostic/Therapeutic Technologies at “Federico II”University in Naples (Italy).

He owns Fellowship at the Department of Minimal Invasive Surgery of IRCCS Humanitas Cancer Center (Milan, Italy) and at the Regional Oesophago-gastric Unit of the Royal Surrey Country Hospital (Guildforf, Surrey; UK).

He has been long engaged in clinical and research work of the gastrointestinal surgery, especially in those of laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery.

Prof. Milone has published more than 90 papers in international journals.  He has served as reviewer of many high impact international journals.

Prof. Milone is the member ofthe editorial board of the World Journal of Clinical Cases, Annals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery.

He is also member of numerous Scientific Societies. He is included in the study group on colorectal cancer of the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology. He is a member of the Executive Board Society for Traslational Medicine, Regional Delegate Italian Society of Endoscopic Surgery, Executive Councillor International Pilonidal Sinus Society, member of the Education Committee Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery.
