Dr. Sang-Uk Han was born in 1963. He graduated from Seoul National University School of Medicine and was given MD in 1988. He is worldwide well known gastric surgeon, especially in the field of minimal invasive gastric surgery and research on gastric cancer. He has performed more than 2000 cases of laparoscopic and more than 400 cases of robotic gastric surgeries. He is a chairman of Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery and director of Gastric Cancer Center of Ajou University Hospital. He plays an important role in many Korean or International societies. He is now working active as a PI of KLASS-02 study (Feasibility of laparoscopic gastrectomy with D2 dissection).
