Junjun Ma, MD (Gastrointestinal Surgery)

Dr. Junjun Ma, born in 1979, in shanghai, was given the medical master degree after graduation from Shanghai Second Medical University in 2005, and worked in Department of General Surgery in Shanghai Ruijin Hospital as a resident. During his five years residency in Ruijin Hospital, he was trained to be an experienced surgeon with team spirit and skillful laparoscopic and endoscopic technique. Owing to his excellent academic performance, he was sponsored by hospital to go abroad to Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital in United States of America as clinical research fellow in 2010. During his one-year fellowship in U.S., he was trained to be more experienced in clinical and research work of surgical endoscopy and colorectal surgery. He continued his study after he came back to China, and got doctor’s degree in surgery. Now he assumes attending surgeon in Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.  

Dr. Ma assumes the board member of Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer Board in China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care. He is the secretary of China section of International College of Surgeons (ICS). Dr. Ma serves as board member of Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery, and contributing reviewer of Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery.

Dr. Ma has been long engaged in clinical and research work of the gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, especially in those of laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. His scientific research, teaching and academic exchanges have also a quite influence both at nation and abroad. He has published more than 90 papers in periodicals and journals at home and abroad.
